Jordan had one, at most two…Rodman, who couldnt score but a great defense player.
Bird was a great shooter, he had 50+% FG and 25ppg in some seasons, and he was a shooter. It’s not easy, and the most importan thing he different from Dirk those great shooters, he was a leader, and he led his team to win in playoffs. Beat up great team like Magic and Jabbar’s Lakers.
And he had very long range. A great shooter and a smart player
shit he had Robert Parrish and one of the best fundamental players of all time: Kevin McHale. with them 2 it almost didnt matter who was in the backcourt.
Larry is definitely up there thats for sure… when you say that kind of stuff though your gonna bring a lot of Jordan lovers in pain (even though im a huge Jordan fan myself)
1 thing about Larry is…. he had good teams true…
But did he had a Scottie Pippen on his team…. and then a Denis Rodman ?
dude BTAY , WHY U ALL up in arms about it!?, of course we seen MJ PLAY, yea mj is consider THE best if not top 2 or 3, but u act like BIRD cant even be in the same planet as mj, OF COURSE HE IS!, WHILE MJ IS THE MOST ATHLETIC player of all time, we FAIL TO FORGET, BIRD MANGED TO WIN AND ACCOMPLISH WHAT HE DID IN A DIFFERENT ERA!, JUST like the title says, HE over achieved, he wasnt born wit the athleticism MJ had, but still manage to be one of the best in the world !.
While I am a Celtics fan, and loved Larry’s play, MJ must be considered the greatest player of all time. Bird is in my top ten with MJ, Magic, Kareem, Chamberlin, Russell. For anyone old enough to remember, Oscar Robertson was also beyond belief.
jordan beat magic in the finals, albeit magic was old as well as kareem. but i know what your sayin, but the thing is when jordan was younger he was a 1 man team. Then pippen developed into an allstar, and the rest…is history.
I’ve never bought into the myth that Bird couldn’t run or jump. Bird was an excellent athlete. You don’ t have to be a track star or high jumper to play basketball. As far as the Bird or Magic vs Jordan comparisons Jordan 6rings to 5 for Magic and 3 for Bird. Jordan single handedly kept Barkley, Stockton, Malone, Ewing, Payton, Miller from getting rings. And he would have kept Olajuwan and Drexler too if he hadn’t retired for those 2 years.
And why is Dr.J not even mentioned here?
He’s as good in dunking as MJ and as good a team player as Larry Bird.
He had the offensive plays, he had the defensive abilities, not to mention SICK dunks.
He is always in my opinion the best NBA-ABA player.
The difference between MJ and Bird was the Bird SHOULDN’T have been as good as that. An inspiration to any basketball player. Sheer willpower. Makes me shiver…
jordan couldnt beat magic or bird so that makes jordan the greatest. makes no sense to me. it took jordan years to win more than 50 games in a season when magic and bird retired was when the bulls started winning you take jordan off that team and the bulls still win championships there was no competition
look bird has more buzzerbeater wins then most have had winning seasons
yap, if someone play for stat, he would not come back in age of 38,39 because everyone knows it would hurt the perfect career stat.
Bird made them HOF players! Bird played for the team, nt for the stats, like someone else!
exact…not only that…he played in the hardest nba era and probably in the hardest cost ever seen, against incredible teams and player!
yeah but he had other 3 HOF players as teammates…

the THREE POINT LEGENDs

He sure didn’t.
So yeah Bird was a beast.

yep
and i think it was 28ppg as well, not a measley 10, 10 & 10 (though thats still great)
the Big O is the only player to average a triple-double in a season, now thats unbelievable
Bird’s highlight package are like great symphonies; they leave a basketball fan with tears of joy.
Bird was so sick! some of the things he did just amazed me
yes
thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard…u mustve never watched michael play…u dont even deserve to think
he is better than mj

his shot is so pure

Dr J was great but a dunk only counts as 2 points same as a layup or jumpshot. Larry Bird FOR THREE!!! or a dunk? Take your choice.
looks can really be deceiving
larry bird the greatest

Kareem is no 1 of all time for me.
